Widely considered one of the world’s greatest ski resorts, St. Anton am Arlberg is the birthplace of alpine skiing. It was here that modern skiing techniques were developed. The old village of St. Anton has evolved into a modern resort, luring skiers from far and wide with its vast network of lifts and miles of runs.
St. Anton provides some of the best skiing and riding terrain in the world. Over 280 kilometres of downhill runs and endless 180 kilometres of backcountry terrain are serviced by 84 state-of-the-art ski lifts. A genuine winter wonderland, there's a whole other world of outdoors beyond downhill skis or snowboards for adventurous spirits. From winter walking and cross country skiing over sledding and ice skating to Alpine curling, St. Anton has a lot to offer.
Walking in a Winter Wonderland...
Enjoy the breathtaking, natural beauty of the great outdoors while exploring the stunning network of cleared winter walking trails in and around snowy St. Anton. Winter walking gives you the freedom to grab a pair of shoes and explore this winter wonderland on your own. Walk into enchanting Verwall Valley, to Nasserein or to the lovely village of St. Jakob am Arlberg. There are some 70 kilometres of cleared trails to do so!
Sledding & Tobogganing
… is winter fun for all ages! Ride like the wind down the 2.5 mile long, lighted natural toboggan run from Gampen to Nasserein on-board traditional wood toboggans. The exhilarating ride takes some 15 minutes and covers 500 metres of vertical drop. The run is open daily from 12:00 noon. Special sledding nights are held each Tuesday and Thursday.
NORDIC SKIING
St. Anton am Arlberg provides a vast array of terrain for exploring the grandeur and peacefulness of the high country on 40 kilometres of groomed trails.
There are trails for all tastes and abilities. Breathe the crisp mountain air and marvel at some of nature's most awe-inspiring handiwork.
